Subject: FN-FORUM OS troubles . Cant revert back to winows 98 after =
installing windows 2k pro
Help !
I have installed win2k pro on a spare / oldish Gateway 2500 laptop =
and now found that most of the drivers etc are not upgradeable !
I am now wanting to uninstall win2k , and reinstall win98.
The problem seems to be that the file system is now not FAT/FAT 32 , =
it is now NTFS as a result of the foolish choice to upgrade !
The M$ site tells me that options for reverting to 98 are =
''limited'' as the 98 OS does not read or recognise NTFS !
It does say that they do not support 3rd party software to convert =
NTFS to FAT or FAT 32 which means someone must have a fix !
Anyone got any ideas ?
Any advice gratefully received=20
Thanks=20
Steve
Why did I bother in the first place ........ aggghh
