depends on how you're planning to deal with price updates.
if you have a seasonal brochure style product (prices are static for a set
time period) then i'd either use flash or director and hard-code the prices
into file.
if you want a true data-driven cd then i'd have the cd access a database
over the internet using something like mysql or sql server. id then have a
page on the server that would format out the database information into an
xml file and use flash or director to import that xml file and set the
prices and information.
