Hi Bob,
I took on a student a few years back. I looked at which universities were
running appropriate courses and then contacted them directly. They tend to
run placement schemes around Easter and on to the summer holiday. I then got
the students to apply for the position and I interviewed them as if they
were applying for a job. It seemed to be a good way of doing things and I'm
sure it was a good chance for the students to get their portfolios in order
and get some interview experience.
I would recommend it to anyone. It's a great way to get new, fresh ideas
into your company with the added advantage of being quite cheap. It's also
how I started out.
Hope this helps
Billy

Hi
Does anybody know a good place to start when considering taking on interns
from universities in this country or from the US? Just out of interest.
I’d be very chuffed for URL’s or phone numbers.
Cheers,
Bob
