RE: FN-FORUM High speed, reliable Internet connection
date posted 7th January 2002 18:40
Hi Guillaume,
ADSL is always on. I'm on holiday in Seattle at the moment and my ADSL line
at home has remained connected for the past 10 days solidly.
Prices on ADSL is always coming down, but if you want/need it I'd say get
the ball rolling now as if you're keep waiting for the price to come down,
you'll never get it!
If you're of a technical inclination, a "wires only" service might be an
idea as this brings the installation costs down even more. (The idea is is
that you install your own jack rather than having to pay a BT engineer to
come out and do it.)

Hi all,
On the same subject,
I have currently BT anytime.
The big problem is that they cut the line every 2 hours.
I am moving to ADSL soon, and I was wondering if the same problem
was happening to BT OpenWorld, or other suppliers ?
I was thinking about going with Nildram as they are still offering install
at half-price.
Then again, I might wait until the end of the month to see the new offers.
What do all think ?
Thanks in advance,
Guillaume
