Out of interest how many consumer PC have been upgraded since they've been
bought. Most consumer users are too scared to do things like that so for the
general consumer the iMac (which does allow piss easy RAM upgrading, plus,
to a level most consumer PCs cannot count up to ;-} ) is quite suitable.
Apart from the supposedly faster processors and larger screens of consumer
PCs iMacs are specced to match for their purpose and market position.
Not everybody wants a 4x4, I want an old 3 series BMW and my fiancée wants
(and has) a camper van.
