RE: FN-FORUM New iMac

Now... Tell me about your mother :-|>
--------------->
You poor poor child. I can sympathise with you on that.
I too had a train engine when I was a child, it had tracks and a full
set
with figurines and carriages and it was really nice. The problem was
though
the other bits were really ugly and the couplings for the carriages was
different to the engines and the gauge was the wrong girth and the
figurines
were the wrong scale. The whole thing just never worked well together
and
looked stupid and a real mish mash of bits, some of which I never needed
or
didn't want. And when I tried to get it all fixed the toy shop owner
just
kept shaking his head muttering 'you shouldn't be playing with this,
it's
not a toy you know. It's only for adults s'why it looks so boring an
austere'. Eventually it was all put right and I remember that day well.
I
ran home after school and straight to my train set. I placed the engine
on
the tracks and coupled the carriages, picked up the control box and
turned
the dial to forward. Nothing happened. Turns out the engine driver was
too
old by this time and needed updating. I got tired of all this and for my
next birthday I asked for a remote control car. It was great. I took it
out
of the box, put in the batteries and off it went. Great fun.
So inspite of having a wonderful engine with a boring ugly set of
accessories, I too never got to play with my train set. I spent all the
time
trying to get it working.
=)
