RE: FN-FORUM New Site
date posted 13th January 2002 22:30
Hey Pete.
I am surprised you are still doing the site, knowing you (as we all do) ;-)
I am pretty sure I could dig out some a message from way back where you
told a member they should tell the client to f***'off coz they are wrong!
....or something along those lines anyway :-)
I am sure we have all had to put up with the 'clients always right'
attitude in the past especially the 'IT Manager/Person knows all syndrome'
I recently got so pi**ed off with a client for similar errrr disagreements
I told them I could not continue and dropped the project!!
Next day they called me and said if I felt that strongly then I must
be right as their 'IT' Manager was not prepared to put his job where his
mouth was so must be wrong!
Dave

Hi, again these are things I have told the client, firstly the nav, I hate
it this is just how they wanted it, scollbars they told me not to have a
slider with indications of where you are in the text, I think I might have
persuaded them on this one. With regards to the size of it, this was my
biggest argument with the client, the design agency designed it at 925/550
in size, I told them this was too big for an 800/600 browser, yet they still
didn't care, they told me that hardly anyone uses that resolution anymore,
even though I sent them statistics which told them that possibly up to 50%
of people browse on that resolution.
