Tracey, first of all, welcome to this mad but very helpful forum ;-)
I'd have to agree with Ecky in every respect of his posting, although I
think your site is considerably better than my first ever effort! You won't
produce brilliance overnight, even with the best tools, and apps like
Dreamweaver & Photoshop can seem very daunting at first look - it depends if
you are just wanting to build yourself a decent website, or thinking of
doing more... it's probably better to get someone else to help, unless you
want to spend the next few years of your life arguing about Flash or not
Flash/Mac vs PC/PHP vs ASP/ Microsoft=Satan etc.... but as you said, you
didn't have much input to the design, yours is the content.
As far as I can see there are only two pages of content as yet - what's
there seems good in a spelling/grammar/readability sense (as one should
expect from a copywriter ;-) but you may want to go a little further in
selling yourself. Why should people employ you, rather than anyone else, to
put it bluntly - they may want to employ a copywriter to 'big up' their
product/service, so you should do the same for yours. Anyway feel free to
ask for advice and help and good luck.
Cheers, Paul.
