I'm re-sending this on different thread as it just went
out on the Threading thread: this is what you call a lateral
thread with recursive reference ;>
Enough of this! The bottom line is that the delivery
platform for this list is severely broken. There are way
more hops than need to be there (DNS config problem) and
relay machines with long queue times. Either severely
overloaded or detuned SMTP agents.
