RE: FN-FORUM Writing for multiple browsers
date posted 17th January 2002 19:40
Hi Em,
Yes, I did kinda notice that one. I'll explain a little more:
I've taken on a project where the designer has incorporated a fancy scroll
bar (originating from http://www.ghtml.com/showoff/scrollbar/index.html)
which uses layers, and he has based his design from a site called
www.dadaphonic.com.
The design is great, but as an applications programmer who has never had the
task of turning a few JPG's into a fully-working site, it's giving me a few
nightmares - to be honest, I'm stuck.
I'm now getting to the point where I'm liable to say "this design won't
work" unless I can find some references which will give me an idea of which
browsers cause which f*ck ups, which is why I sent the original email.
I didn't want to be too specific in case I looked like I didn't know what I
was doing... oh well...
Steve

Hi Steve,
As you've had no responses to this (that I've seen here anyway) perhaps you
could be more specific about the problems you're experiencing and see if we
can help that way?!

Subject: FN-FORUM Writing for multiple browsers
Hi all,
Relating to the "Tables inNetscape" subject - does anyone have any good
reference links to information about writing cross-browser sites or is it a
case of trial and error?
I am having lots of problems at the moment with differing window sizes,
layer positions, etc.
Thanks
Steve
