RE: FN-FORUM free web space

date posted 18th January 2002 13:36

portland.co.uk is free no ads, 10Mb I think, and 100Mb BW, but be warned if
you go over that charge silly numbers!!! Its uptime is a bit ropey, and if
you need to buy a domain £36 is silly!

php4hosting.co.uk is reasonably good and at £3 a month is nearly free, plus
you only pay monthly, not up front.

oneandone.co.uk is £5+VAT a month for 100Mb but allows multiple domains, so
you can if you can put a couple of clients sites on there and charge them
£2.50 each a month then your hosting is free! I use these at the mo for all
my sites and they seem to be quite good! Plus only £5+VAt for a .co.uk
domain! If you need PHP/MySQL its £9+VAT for 300Mb. Only prob is you have to
pay up front for 12 months! Although as far as I remember if you cancel you
get outstanding months back!

Chris.
