Hello all,

having just listed on freelancers.net (http://precise.freelancers.net/) and
subscribed to this list, I thought a little initial message from me would be
a good idea, just to say hello.

One wonders how many of the freelancers on this list have, like us, found
that things are going rather worse than usual after the horrors of 11
September. The dream world I used to live in, where I was ALWAYS doing some
paying work (and I mean always, had to beg clients to allow me a couple of
days off for breaks), seems to have fallen down like a house of cards. Are
there any initiatives going on in this list for people who may be of mutual
benefit to each other to find each other? In this climate I feel we need to
band together and try to find areas where we can help each other out.

Anyway.... just my little 2p worth.
