Out of interest, would you guys be so rude to a prospective client over the
telephone or is it just because this is a faceless forum that you feel you
can be so rude?
The poor bloke only asked if anyone was interested in his project, if you
a. were interested and needed more information it would surely make sense to
email him off forum and ask the questions you needed to know, and as he
said, if you then thought that he was dodgy feel free to report back.
b. not interested. Then ignore the post.
While I'm on the subject, I keep reading 'we always get ripped off' - why?
Set out your terms and conditions before a project begins and get written
confirmation from the client before you begin work. If they won't sign it,
then steer clear. I know sometimes it's very tempting to take anything on
offer, but if someone isn't prepared to agree terms and conditions first
then it would probably be fair to assume you may run into problems later on.
