UK forums - Freelance Banter or Stuck up Sticky Beaks?

Any one know of any UK-centric mailing lists for self employed web
developers?

This one is starting to grate.

I've unsubbed and resubbed a few times now, each time I come back I find it
less friendly, more self righteous and even less useful.

Am I in the right place or have I misjudged the mood totally?

And why is there so much crap tacked on at the bottom here:
