Gary, the colour coded navigation is easy to follow and the pastel colours
are easy on the eye, but...
Horiz scroll at 800x600 - untitled doc - links at bottom of home page don't
work - stripey effect behind the dots on the top bar is not mirrored on the
bottom and the edge of the first row of dots is missing - personally don't
like the font in this context....
I don't want to be too negative, as those things could be sorted in a couple
of hours, but I feel the design could be a little restrictive. With dummy
text it all fits fine, but that bottom bar is going to waste a lot of space
when the pages get crammed full of text - and they will, believe me, with
the amount of 'information' generated by a school. I don't want to turn this
into an essay (feel free to delete if you're losing interest ;-) but I am a
school governor, and went on a course about this recently. The big thing
they are pushing, both in the National Curriculum and in the general
management of schools, is the updateability - allowing pupils to publish
their own work is becoming a requirement of the ICT curriculum, and
integrating school Information Management Systems with their web sites and
the LEA LAN is coming onstream over the next year in Newcastle, and by 2004
Nationwide.
HTH feel free to bother me offlist if you wish, I'll try to help.
Cheers, Paul.
