It seems quite fair to me. If you follow the standards and guidelines,
people who cannot use IE for whatever reason (including accessibility) will
still be able to use your site. If you make an IE-only site, they can't.
Just throwing my AFFS member hat on here for a second, remember that neither
IE nor Opera are free in the freedom sense.
