Hi Liam,
I picked up a copy of Ultradev couple of months
ago and started scratching my head.
I found the following link helpful
http://www.webthang.co.uk/tutorials/gor_udev/gor_ud1.htm
starts you off at ground level by setting up your PWS.
Some off the Computer Arts tutorials were v. good if
you have any lying around. Try the site it has the basic
set up tutorials.
http://www.computerarts.co.uk/tutorials/type/tutorial.asp?id=3D29797
Great book here for laying the foundations
http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/1903450349/026-0501132-4394846
Published by Friends of Ed who I've always found v. good.
Written by designers for designers as the blurb goes.
Looks about the best of whats on offer at the moment. Took
the plunge myself recently and bought a copy. I have a couple
of jobs on right now than require a bit more than my basic knowledge.
for ASP in general
http://www.4guysfromrolla.com/
seems popular.

Guys!
=20
I am completely new to the world of ASP, and wouldn't have a clue =
where to start, but I have just obtained a copy of Dreamweaver UltraDev =
4 from an auction site (Only =A375), and I would like to learn the =
basics.
=20
I want to create a news site where people can register with the site =
and become an author with a profile and stuff, and submit their own =
news, reviews e.t.c. Is this gonna be really hard to do? I also have =
Microsoft Office XP which includes Access.
=20
Does anybody know any decent sites where I may pick up the basics, I =
really don't have a clue and I want to start from the beginning, I have =
searched for some sites but they just baffle me with chunks of code I =
struggle to understand.
=20
Cheers!
