Re: FN-FORUM HELP!!-approaching clients with product!
date posted 1st May 2002 15:56
Hi all
There is a first time for everything, and I need some help from some
seasoned professionals.
I create simple FLASH games in my spare time and want to sell them.
Can any of you help me on the following?
1/ is it the swf file that you SELL or the html file with swf on too?
(ie: would you burn an assortment on a disk and have an HTML paeg
open up automatically using that .ini file thing with the
automatic start up upon entering?)
2/ what kind of prices would a simple game go for? (pls check out on
http://cangil.netfirms.com/games.htm) do you have like..bog standard
prices for some and bespoke prices for made to measure stuff? That would
sound like sense to me - but where to start? any body know of sites that
you can send me that have prices and games clearly marked?
3/ How would you approach a client with a product to sell and sound
convincing? ( Of all the parts I Hate this bit- I am useless at
selling, actually anybody wanna sell for me? we can negotiate a deal.)
thanks:
Shaf Cangil

ps: one of my games is not working in the stand alone swf but does in the
html page with it on, so I was just wondering if that is normal or not.
awaiting your answers with much anticipation..
