Make sure that you get the customer to see a final proof and get a signed
copy agreeing that it is what they want - somewhere along the lines of -

Date

Quote / Job number

This final pre-press proof has been checked for errors by .............
(Full Name) on behalf of ............ (company name). This is the final
proof of this document (quote number). I have checked for errors and
omissions and understand and agree that no further changes can be made to
the document following my sign-off of this proof. The Pantone colours used
here are.... they have been approved by the client.

Print the above on the edge/bottom of your proof so that they sign the
actual document.

If you are pdfing a proof be careful. I once did a whole job where a
customer worked using pdf proofs and when the job was delivered even though
I had got him to agree the Pantone number he said it was nothing like he had
agreed - obviously the colour on his printer and on his screen were very
different from the Pantone colour swatch - of course the colours looked
different to those on his website, I had already explained this would be the
case. If you are worried about colours get a cromalin proof done and discuss
with the client from the outset why you are adding the cost to his bill -
his security and peace of mind etc.
