RE: FN-FORUM ADSL ISP's - who to choose?
date posted 29th June 2002 12:21
I use PIPEX which connects to the UUNET/WORLDCOM backbone. It's been
very easy to use it's very quick and I haven't ever had a reason to call
customer support. Having said that, there's a dark cloud over anything
worldcom related at the moment. I haven't really followed the rumours
but I know there are obstacles on the horizon.
I don't think you need to consider the business account unless you want
to host from your own hardware (smaller contention ratios). It's
generally pricier and in my experience I get everything I need on a home
user account at ~£24 a month

Subject: FN-FORUM ADSL ISP's - who to choose?
Anyone have any good recommendations for me?
I'm about to plunge into ADSL.
Working from home suggests I might need a business account with an ISP.
I'm happy to self-install
Plusnet's offering looks good.
Opinions anyone?
Thanks
Tony
