Re: FN-FORUM design/degree check - now something else...but related

I finished my a-levels this time last year (maths, graphics and
history), I'd looked at Uni but couldn't find anything I wanted to do,
was looking for something web ish but I like a mix of graphics and
programming. It seemed a bit daft to spend 3/4 years in uni, get a big
debt and have not have the two years experience most jobs seem to
require. At the moment I'm earning money, learning and building up a
portfolio. I had a look at the open uni I did a Social Sciences course
but again theres nothing really to do with webdesign, the new courses
which are only 10 points sound vaguely interesting but handing out only
10 point to me suggests their no covering as much detail as I'd want.
So far for the cost of a few books and an internet connection I think
I've learnt much more, I'm still learning and I'm enjoying it. Plus no
lectures and I get to get up at lunch time, I love my job!
