The latest Netscape loads twice as fast as IE6 in my 1700mhz Athlon Win 98 2
driven computer, and doesn't crash nearly so often. The email client

Upgrade the Windows machines to W2k or XP Pro.
W98 is not meant for network security, and can't really be bodged to fit.
