Re: FN-FORUM whats the best way to get business

Hello Chris,
Tips:
Get a spine, being Freelance is hard work:) There is always much mickey
taking here, learn to love it or ignore it.
Do pay attention to what you write it is one of the keys to being good in
business, your clients must trust that you are proficient if they are to
engage you.
Have a good site which you can sell yourself from
Get some business cards printed and give them to everyone you meet -
everyone!
Contact your local Business Link and introduce yourself.
Get a business bank account and take advantage of the free consultation they
usually give to new businesses.
Princes Trust are good if you are not of a 'certain age' like me!
Be professional here (mostly), unless you are already swamped with work, you
never know who is lurking, they may well have a job for you.
BTW I was watching my daughter talk to her 'M8s' on Messenger. I asked her
friend why they type like they do and he said "just go really fast and miss
out as many letters as you can, it's quicker" when I told him I can type
really fast anyway he said it wasn't cool to use the vowels... (we now call
SMS 'Irritable Vowel Syndrome')
Regards
Carla

Well it¹s a bit of both, the state of our universities thanks to labour, and
the fact that this is a forum and I cant be bothered to really pay much
attention to what I write, and if no one has any good informative
information then please stop taking the Michael!

Is it email, sms or schools and colleges that are responsible for the poor
state of present day written communication? Do some people sit in front of
their word-processors wondering what all the green and red highlighting
means?
Stuart.
