Re: FN-FORUM Site Check Please

A few quick comments from a non-technical persepctive...
works in IE6, Op 6.01, Moz 1.1 (win2k) - that's the extent of my techie
bit...
nice and uncluttered except for the nav bar which in my opinion is a bit
full. maybe categorise things a little or make a drop-down list and a
have a smaller nav with a few of the commoner jump-to points in it.
(hierarchy?)
a couple of your images seem distorted. i don't know if this is
intentional? the one that stood out was the philosophy picture, a good
picture but seems squashed...
your portfolio is good but i had no idea what each link was. give either
a textual name/link or a descriptive tooltip that would make it a bit
easier to know what you are clicking on for the user...
i hate pop-up windows! and i almost missed it anyway as it was very
small and i "tab" browse and have a few other windows open so it
disappeared when i flicked back to another page while waiting for it to
load (which incidentally was pretty smooth anyway). There's a jump in
the animation loop between the first and last frame on the pop-up
movie... it's okay all-in but it seems unnecessary...
what do you see as your target audience? have you designed it with them
in mind?
these are all minor points, and on the whole it is a nice piece of work.
