Sorry, I'm being as helpful as I can...

Right, from what you say, I assume you have got a list of DNS servers that
you've provided UK2 with in the past to point the traffic at a different
server. If they didn't allow that then you would be able to do nothing with
the domain at all. UK2 hold your domain information, it's their job to let
the relevant bodies know if you change your details. You, through them, are
able to control your domain name, that is what they are charging for.

If you do not renew your domain hosting, it will be deleted from the UK2
servers and you won't be able to log in and make any changes.

One of their services, and the only one you happen to use, is DNS control.

You may have the 1471 facility on your phone, your monthly charge includes
that service but if you don't use it, they won't discount your standing
charge.

I'm afraid you're not being very helpful. They are trying to charge me for,
and I quote:

"Domain hosting
--------------
If you do not renew your Domain hosting, we will delete your domain

will no longer host your web site or your email."

Yet the log in for the domain at uk2 actually says:

"We do not host your domain
You cannot use any UK2 hosting features (e.g. webspace)
You cannot use our Virtual ISP (VISP) feature"

I do not, and do not wish to, use any of those services. Can you explain to
me why I should have to pay?
