OT: Hosting Advice Please!

At the risk of being met with a barrage of "Read the FAQ!" posts, I thought you'd be the best people to ask WRT hosting for my own personal use, since I'm a marketing, rather than a technical guy.

Basically, I'd like to set up a few sites of my own, in order to try some ideas out. I'll want one or two domain names initially, probably 4 or 5 in time. I'll also want to have email serving. I don't need anything complicated, as the sites will be very simple, although I might want to post a few MP3's, which will take up a bit of space.

I guess this is probably a little different from your average freelancer requirements (hence not just ringing through the FAQ) - so any recommendations for someone cheap & reliable would be appreciated, as would any advice about further features I should/shouldn't be looking for.
