e-brochures

Hi all

I have a client who has asked me about e-brochures. He had one sent
which was a html mail and when you clicked on the picture it downloaded
an .exe file from the creators website and opened a full screen
portfolio, presumably shockwave or flash.

Does anyone have experience in this? It seems a bit long winded to me
and a bit dodgy automatically downloading a file onto a computer.
