RE: FN-FORUM [OT ish] Computer Music & John Major

Ade,
You have confirmed my suspicions. I have been toying with the idea of
seperating the midi and the audio for a while but I've never got round to
it. My recording these days has had to take a back seat. I'm not a midi user
as such, I just put down midi drums then replace them with the real thing.
So the midi is just there has a click track. I use the Cakewalk Pro Audio
9.03 for on PC editing etc. cause I have a proper copy and I can't afford to
get anything better at the mo. I'm a bit out of touch at present. (I stopped
buying SOS etc because they were only teasing me with stuff I can't
justify.) The next thing on my shopping list will be some decent mics. My
MD421s have given up the ghost and anyway I've always promised myself a
really good vocal recording mic when the funds allow.
As I said I sometimes feel like dragging the old analogue gear out and just
recording some live takes just to get something finished. Hell I got radio
play for stuff recorded on my old A8, I can't even get a bloody track
mastered without major grief at the mo.

PS. Tuesday night's are band nights here. We practise all year for one
charity gig that takes place in a field near York, first week of July. We
generally go on for 45 mins between two other bands. Last year it made
?7000ish to share between three cancer charities. We love it because we can
play just about anything we feel like and I can be as loud and as I like.
