XP service Pack 1 - home edition

Hi all,

I searched on the freelancers archive as I though this topic had been
covered, but I couldnt find anything there.
Has anyone installed SP1 for XP home, and can anyone comment on why or why
not this should be done?

I have just rebuilt my machine and have done a clean install of XP home
edition. I have haerd unsubstantiated rumours of privacy issues aswell as
installed applications going haywire once SP1 is installed.

Any advice, greatly appreciated
