RE: FN-FORUM Accessing Outlook/Outlook Express e-mail from MS Access
date posted 2nd December 2002 19:04
Hi Dennis,
The way I have done it in the past is to use OLE Messaging with earlier
versions of Outlook. With Outlook 2000 and Outlook 202 (I believe) you can
write a proper VB6 application that will process the data. Don't know about
outlook express as it is not mapi compliant.

Subject: FN-FORUM Accessing Outlook/Outlook Express e-mail from MS
Access
Hello,
I have a client that needs to populate an Access database with sections of
e-mails received (primarily shipping address and item ordered) so that he
may then mail-merge shipping labels.
The e-mails follow the same structure and are from the same source.
Does anyone have any ideas on how I might do this ?
Regards
