Hi Norman,
How would that work in the case of say Zenithtech when they were hosting in
the US? and the fact that they are using name based hosting?

You can have a bloody good stab at it. Bascially grab the IP address of the
incoming request, and then query the RIPE database which will give you a
country code for the IP address. It's not foolproof, but it'll take you a
long way towards achieving what you're after.
