Just an hour to go till the new years, and I'm at home with the kids in bed
and the missus out on the piss.
:(
2002 has been a year for success and punishment for me. I had started the
new year with an excellent job prospect that a friend had offered me in his
company working as an IT Network Technician, this was a big break as I had
no formal qaulifications, and yet I went and screwed it up by my own stupid
mistake. (Here comes a big confession, and I hope that you all dont hold
this against me) I took an old pc from the workplace for myself without
telling anyone. Then my neighbour (who also knew my boss)told him about me
with the machine and I end up with getting fired only after 4 months working
there.
This is a big dissapointment to me as I have lost a brilliant life, a new
car, my home, MOST of my friends and of course court punishement. Now I have
to bring up two children in a cold house on the dole, for which no money is
paid for me just my partner and the kids, as Job centre deducted my ammount
to live on! which is another form of punishment.
I have seriously been taught a big lesson here as I have gained so much of
what I wanted in a long run up, yet I lost it all over a shitty machine
that was worth 40 quid.
I was bought up on a rough council estate and crime was all around me, and I
got into crime and burglaries but stopped that as soon as I had my child
about 4 years ago, MY kids mean more to me than anything, and I have
dissapointeed them and made them live like they have to now. I have changed
I am too scared of how much worse it could get if I took any more chances.
This also is on my criminal record now and therefore is making it extremely
hard to get work in ANY area especially IT, which is all I enjoy working in,
This is why I have looked at freelancing and has given me some hope by
looking into FN.
Sorry to go on and will finish now, I just wanted to put across my views on
how important the new year is to me and I hope that I can get abother chance
of starting a good life again in the new year.
