hi all,
Anybody know anything about streaming windows media?
My client doesn't like Real Player and wants Windows Media, but i'm =
having a little trouble.
http://www.activereload.co.uk/quest/video/clip4.wvx
I've set up the MetaFile (Clip4.wvx) according to all the instructions i =
could fine, and it points to the video file (clip_4.wmv) as it should, =
and everything works fine on this computer - it streams the file - =
however on my other computer the browser simply displays the contents of =
the WVX file as if it were just a normal txt file (it is just a txt file =
but shouldn't be displayed as one), and does not even attempt to start =
Media Player or play the file.
I thought it might have to do with the codecs but apparently media =
player should just download any new windows media codecs it needs =
automatically - obviously it can't do that if it won't even start up.
i only have these two comps at my disposal right now so....any ideas?
cheers
Dan.
