RE: FN-FORUM book covers copyright

To be honest I don't think it's an issue if the image is linked to amazon. I
would join the associates program anyway, any extra revenue helps and it's a
quick job to paste in a few links.

Subject: FN-FORUM book covers copyright
i have a client who has a page of book reviews on his site. we considered
signing up to the amazon associates scheme but decided that as his site is
very specialist and low-traffic the return would be too low to bother with.
however, he does want to show (thumbnail) images of the book jackets and
link to the amazon page for each book.
does anyone have any experience of obtaining copyright to display thumbnails
like this?
or is it legal to simply show images direct from the amazon site like:
http://images-eu.amazon.com/images/P/B000063BM9.02.MZZZZZZZ.jpg
?
experiences and suggestions gratefully received!
chris
