In their defence I received a courtesy call from them between christmas
and New Year, asking if everything was OK and was I remembering about my
tax return, and did I need any help?.

Also, I found them to be very helpful when I registered with them as
Self Employed in October...

Just my 2p: I know there are horror stories knocking around as well!
