Yep, apparently one of the last as well as one of the longest continuously
inhabited parts of the country, I believe the English Heritage guide
mentioned they have signs of occupation on the site from Iron age, Roman,
Saxon, Norman through to Victorian and of course the Rotten Borough! Pain in
the arse to get to though in the summer! Only one road to Salisbury from
Bournemouth and It's always packed with Caravans etc :(
