PCFormat Newsletter 17/01/03

Welcome back to a brand new Format newsletter,
What with Christmas, New Year and so many minor crises between, it feels
like a long time since the last, but our esteemed Online Editor assures
us that it's only been five or six weeks! So you won't mind this being a
day late then.

It's a day late for good reason, exciting things are happening at
PCFormat. After the departure of Kai, Ian and even Ian's tracksuit to
pastures new, the last couple of weeks has seen us swell our ranks once
more with Deputy Art Editor Andy McGregor coming back to the collective
bosom, and a nifty steal in the lanky shape of Dan Griliopoulos coming
to Format from PC Plus. Just as we thought we were settled, Dan H
dropped the bombshell that he's been whisked away to a higher plane to
fulfil his Senior Editor destiny.
And that's just the maelstrom of staff. Inside the mag... Well, we'll
just say wait and see. Enticing, but unrevealing, sorry. In the
meantime, keep your eyes peeled for issue 145, on sale on January 30th.
Aside from a massive Splinter Cell review, we've also got a round-up of
the best home cinema projectors and the best laptop ever (probably).

And on the discs? Games, games and more games than you'll have time to
play in the short space of time before our next issue. IGI2, Splinter
Cell, Raven Shield - plenty to keep you occupied while waiting to see
what changes the April issue will ring in.
