RE: FN-FORUM Apache Server and PHP problems

From the install page you mentioned
Note: Apache 2.0 SAPI-support started with PHP 4.2.0. PHP 4.2.3 its
known to work in conjunction with Apache 2.0.39. Don't try to use this
version of PHP with any other version of Apache. We do not recommend to
use PHP
4.2.3 along with Apache 2.0.39.
You are not using a working combination according to the above? The site
does say however that v4.3 will work ok.

Subject: FN-FORUM Apache Server and PHP problems
Help Please!!!
I've installed Apache2 (apache_2.0.43-win32-x86-no_ssl) and have
unzipped PHP(php-4.2.3-Win32) onto c: and renamed the folder 'php'. All
good so far. I've pasted 'php4ts.dll' into Windows/System32 and inserted
the following into 'httpd.conf':
LoadModule php4_module c:/php/sapi/php4apache2.dll
AddType application/x-httpd-php .php
Essentially I've stuck to the instructions on
http://php3.info/manual/en/install.apache2.php.
And the bloody thing won't start. Starting it from 'Services' results in
the notification that I should refer to 'service-specific error code 1'.
Couple of additions: I'm using XP Pro and once lines calling
php4apache2.dll are removed from .conf Apache2 resumes normal service.
I hope someone can help!
Cheers,
Kai
