Right click on desktop, click on 'auto arrange' to uncheck it, click on
'align to grid' to check it (if it's not already checked) and then move
your icons to where you would like them to be

Hi All,

Does anyone know where the information relating to position of icons &
shortcuts on Windows desktop is stored?

I've been wondering about this for ages now, though it didn't seem much
of a pressing matter until I recently hit autoarrange by mistake.
