Re: FN-FORUM ADS - site, Nit Picking.

date posted 21st January 2003 23:40

Think this will be a "do as i say and not as i do" case as i have the design
flare of a dead fish on ice. No doubt I'll end up doing the same set of
mistakes but here goes...

As someone else said earlier the "Ads" name in the title makes it sound a
bit fishy - like a free ads / banner ads style service (which is what I
guessed by the comment and interpreted the 'how much would you charge' as a
advert fee). Luckily i was wrong when the site loaded.

The shiny ADS logo doesnt seem to fit in with the rest of the site colour
scheme. Tho colour schemes arent my strong point. "Computer Services" i feel
would be better as the same colour instead of the latter word being dulled
out as if less important.

Main body of text / box titles could do with a more techy font.
Welcome block of text could do with a bit more spacing in and maybe left
aligned. Seems a bit to "blurb" like currently.
The smaller content boxes could do with a slightly larger / clearer font.
The links in the boxes one is lower than the other.

Big red arrow.... doesnt go anywhere. With the text "want to get it sorted"
i expected a link to services page instead of simply directing my attention
to the BSOD.

About page could do with a couple of to break up each section. Might be
me being picky but i like my links to underline at least while mouse is over
them.

Any reason why the link to pricing stratagy is outside the links box?

Ah yes some meta tags in the frameset plus some no frames content. Normally
things I leave to the last minute myself ;)

Hope thats a bit more usefull for you.

-Dave
