Sorry Dave, could you explain RFID for the dunce of the class?

The technology could do it, certainly. Rather than applying the brakes,
it would just disingage the accelerator resulting in a gradual
deceleration until below the speed limit.
However, any government that introduces this would be commiting
political suicide. People _hate_ the idea of Big Brother and the Nanny
State interfering.
However, I have my eye on a toy that I will certainly be purchasing
should good old Tone try anything like it. The new Smart Roadster
Coupe. 600cc turbo engine in a nice tight chassis. Tops out at about
100mph, but is supposed to drive like a go-kart. :) Oh, and it's RWD
which I would have to try very hard to leave behind (could possibly be
tempted by an Evo VII 4WD:).
