Agreed.
Unless you signed copyright away in a contract then it remains with you.
They have to prove you have a contract.
Unless your looking for more work for them you can safely indicate that they
sling their hook. Copyright belongs to designers unless otherwise
contractually agreed.
You might want to make sure that the references and claims on your site that
refer to the work are accurate and couldn't be misinterpreted.
I was in the same situation a few months ago.
