Redhat 8 and routing

I have just reformated my server from redhat 7.3 to 8 for a number of =
newer software versions included. I'm having problems with the router =
setup. I have enabled packet forwarding and the gateway device as it was =
before on 7.3 but and now not sure what to do next. Originally I was =
using ipchains rules for masquraed forwarding but similar rules in =
iptables arnt working. Are there any linux gurus out there that help me =
to get this up and running?
