Brush stroke effects.

Designing a logo I would like to make use of a brush stroke effect. I mainly
use Fireworks and PSP. Is there anything in these that I can use to gain
this effect.

I want to draw a slightly curved line and for it be a medium thickness but
adding the impression that pressure is slowly released from the canvas.. Any
ideas??
