I never got the original message to this thread (which isn't unusual!)
but would comment as follows :

We've been with Fasthosts for a couple of years now - had some downtime
problems in the early days but hosting has been fine for the last 18
months or so. Get occasional mail problems, notably last week (as
mentioned in another response. Contrary to other responses, I've found
their support to be generally good - occasionally you'll get someone who
simply goes through the motions and doesn't really do anything to help,
but they've also got some good people there who genuinely know what
they're talking about. I even had one guy that e-mailed me from his
home to check that the fix he recommended earlier in the day had worked
ok.

Uptime = fine in my experience, email = never had any trouble, support =

utterly dreadful. I've been using them for a couple of years, but moved
to a different host at the end of last year.
