FN-FORUM: Client sees one thing .... everyone else seems to see something else!

I'd be grateful if folks could have a quick look at this link
http://www.beauty-store.co.uk and let me know what the 'beautiful' graduated
purple tint on the LHS frame looks like!

Basically, despite my advice (both from an aesthetic and a technical
perspective) the client wanted a graduated tint - he originally wanted it
right across the page (along with various other tasteful notions), but I
slowly managed to steer him away from some of the more scary things!

The client reckons that on two separate PCs (one laptop, one desktop)he sees
this :

Hi Kerry,
the gradient looks very smooth on my pc.
I had a simmilar problem when a client was looking at a site
with AOL and as default their browser is set to "always compress graphics"
Just from an asthetic point of view, the purple colour to the left of each
button is very slightly different to the bg. Matching the colour exactly
would may be make it even smoother. Nice bit of flash at the top. I do love
the colours, nearly the same shades I used in
