The original French film is superb. I saw a little bit of the TV series
once and as soon as the actors opened their mouths I just switched off.
Who knows, the TV series might actually be good, but having seen the
*outstanding* French film, I can't face the American TV series. I have
never seen the American film version, can't be bothered :)
