System Restore is only of use if you can coax the system into booting in
safe mode - which he can't in this case. The install-over-the-top scenario
is the only thing that sounds like it'll work here,...

You should be able to EXPORT (from the File menu) the info to a file which
you can then copy to CD (or backup in any other manner you like)
