FN-FORUM: annoying javascript side effect

Hi all,

am getting an annoying side effect when using a javascript quick jump menu
on site I'm working on. When selecting a value and then clicking on go - the
file i want opens ok in a new window, but the original page reloads bar the
querystring and instead replacing it with a x and y value - to stop it
throwing up an error i've asssigned a default value to the recordset, but it
is still annoying - any suggestions or pointers would be much appreciated
(before i pull the last of my hair out!)
