FN-FORUM: Detagged domain names

I found a domain name that I'm interested in and so tried to purchase it as
I noticed that the record had expired in 2001.

However although the domain name is detagged I can't purchase it. Is there
a default period that a website name will remain detagged before someone can
purchase it? Is there anyway to speed up getting a domain name that exists
in this state?
